Yeah for me, I think the pacing of the anime was weird and confusing. It felt like two different animes were squashed into one. First few eps made me think it was going to be your typical isekai with an OP MC who will get a harem, but then they hit us with the time travel arc outta nowhere halfway through.

Yeah it had potential but fell a little short in the end. I almost didn't finish it aswell but I try to make a habit of finishing anime before moving onto another.

Yeah , I stopped it on episode 8 and then watched till end after all episodes released 😅.... I also have a habit of skipping /stopping anime in middle if I got bored 😴... ( guess , I need a upgrade too 😅)

Agreed. I was kinda hoping that, especially after Irena saw his white hair, that Ard would have confessed to those closest to him. His plan for a normal life seems to constantly fail, so perhaps confronting that plot armour would have drew a better conclusion to Season 1.

But it might be rewriting the light novel and manga a bit too much

I liked this anime at the start but around the dragon fight onward it started to become a little bit boring. It was nice seeing him confront his past through a "evil" version himself & that quote he said b4 dying goes hard. The animation was also surprising good 70% of the time but its expected since the studio did The Misfit of Demon King Academy, BOFURI and, a Fate movie. So in total I give this anime a 5/10 but a 7/10 for the beginning. I wouldn't mind a s2 just to see his old comrades know who he actually is.

to be honest I watched a lot anime like this MC powerful with some heroin stay by his side from SILVERLINK but this anime is the first one I felt boring somewhat but not all of it.

Yep. It was underwhelming. I didn't really like Lydia character, she was a groping pervert. When Ard the demon Lord said he loved Lydia, did he mean romantically because it was obvious she didn't swing that way.
Current Ard has better luck with Lydia's Current Reincarnation though.

Odd I got the impression that she swung both ways. But I see what you mean by underwhelming. I felt the same and don't expect to see a second season of this one. All in all I feel the characters are pretty forgettable.

I really like the Multiverse arc! It makes the anime feels different from the other isekai anime. It should've been 13 episodes

Yes it was kinda interesting, but as another dude said it felt kinda Deus Ex Machina´d out of nowhere. From school to time travel/war all of a sudden with no foreshadowing/warning/motive, nothing.

I thought this anime was really good I liked the story that was being told and the twist at the end going back in time to help himself. Atleast he mangaged to enjoy a few more days with Lydia and got to say his goodbyes one last time before retuning home. I wonder if they will do a second Season Because i would watch it.

Would definitely watch as well, didn't see the time travel coming with "God" just interjecting for no reason with no explanation. Not a fan of Deux Ex Machina in my stories and its generally regarded as poor story telling, but them going into the past made for a rather interesting story nonetheless. I guess the pacing just seemed kinda off for that bit and the ending seemed a bit underwhelming.

They don't make animes as great as this no more.

Felt like the series started strong/okay, then it kinda dipped midpart and then this whole shenanigans time travel plot.
I like that they tried to convince each other of the best argument, felt reminiscent of the 2 batmans arguing from Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.
It was a bit of a ride but i would still like to see S2 some day.
